This little puppy, the kids call Mini Gini. This little girl is sweet and I love her coloration. She has this great ginger tricolor coat going on with this really cool sable pattern on her legs and that iconic face flashes. I wish that she was available for adoption, but she was actually scooped up by someone on our waitlist. Her coloration is just so gorgeous combined with her personality, I can’t say that I am surprised that she found a home so fast. Her little tail is so cute that you can’t help but smile when you see her.
Like all of our puppies, she under went Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Puppy Culture training. She is very smart and has started on poddy training, aka house training, despite the occasional accidents she is learning quickly. All our dogs are smart, but she seems to be especially intelligent. On a quick tangent, you get a lot of intelligence and agility from the poodle side. Most people don’t know that Poodles were originally breed as a hunting dog, specifically for water fowl. They have to be smart to be able to be a help in the whole process. For that they need all of the skills of a Golden Retriever, but with the added cold water swimming skills. You pair that with the all around willingness of the Bernese Mountain Dogs and you end up with a do who is happy to go jogging with you, smart enough to be trained as a support dog, and chill enough to be content sitting on the floor next to you while you work on the computer.
For this next part, I have to put this in for my wife as she likes to see it in print. “I WAS WRONG”. I have had and trained dogs all my life, I train horses, and feel very confident in my abilities to work with animals, and to be blunt when my wife first told me she wanted to buy all the training material for these programs, I that it was just a bunch of woowoo nonsense. But I was wrong. I publicly put it here in writing on the internet for the world to see, “MY WIFE WAS RIGHT. I WAS WRONG.” I was surprised when we started going through the training material at how good it was, and as I researched the data and the science behind it, I was impressed. But, I was most impressed with the results!
She is roughly 70% poodle she should have a low to no shed hypo-allergenic coat. She got her good looks from her momma with the beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog face markings and her amazing phantom coat from her papa. Her coloration is amazing! Our poodle stud carries great curl genes and great colors. With her mother weighing in at 80 pounds and her father at 40 pounds, she should be somewhere in the 60 pounds range. For this puppy, I expect her to find a home quickly as she has been very popular with my kids and the neighbor kids. Her coat will continue to develop as she grows out of the puppy stage, the wave/curl will also continue to come in. This little puppy is super cute but since she is already taken, we do one or two litters a year, and you are welcome to join our waitlist or give us a call/email.
